Here is a cute simple cricket that I thought would make a nice addition to the ‘for kids’ animal family. I devised a way to make a simple, but cute insect that is not only fun to draw, but it’s also nice to look at. Instead of making actual shapes for the limbs, I decided to try something new and just leave the legs in a stick figure like fashion. I love the way the cricket came out, and I’m going to try to make more of the animals for kids in this fashion in the future. The head and body is simple to replicate, which makes drawing a cricket even easier. My favorite cricket of all time is Jminy Cricket from Walt Disney’s Pinocchio.
