1

Make a simple circle for the first peanut shape.

2

You will now draw out the shape of the peanut which sort of looks like a gourd.

3

Next, add some texture detailing for the shell of the peanut. You can do this by adding some lightly sketched in crosshatching lines.

4

Draw in your second peanut and then detail the shell the very same way you did the first one. Once you feel confident that your peanuts look good enough to crack open and eat, you can clean up the mistakes to prepare them for color.

5

Here is what they should come out looking like or close to it. I hope you enjoyed this lesson on drawing peanuts. Maybe you will find a need to make these in an art piece sometime in the future.

Description: Well, you’re seeing it here first, a tutorial on "how to draw peanuts". I know it may seem odd to have such a lesson, but I really do get requests for this type of tutorial. I mean why wouldn’t I? Peanuts are very popular and they are even good for you. They are used for making peanut butter, pastries, and even candy. Chocolate also enhances the flavor of peanuts and peanut butter making it taste richer, and even creamier. In my house peanuts are consumed on almost a daily basis. They are a great snake food because you tend not to eat too many. I think the reason why we naturally stop eating peanuts is because you tire from having to crack them open, or they start getting stuck in your teeth. Of course, if you are out having a good time then peanuts are usually consumed all night long. Anyways, I didn’t want to get too carried away with drawing peanuts in a bundle. I just stuck with a total of two because I know it would be boring only drawing one. Hey, maybe you can add a hat, cane, and a monocle to one of the peanuts to turn it into the giant peanut guy from the Planter’s Peanuts jars. Either way have fun, and be sure to stick around because I do have some cool stuff going up, I just wanted to get these two food submissions out of the way. Adios people!
