STEP 1.
Start with drawing an oblong oval shape, make it look like a weird basketball. This helps with the positioning of the eyes.
STEP 2.
Next, start with drawing the outlines of the eyes, nose, ears, the other parts of his face along with his neck.
STEP 3.
Now we start with the beginning of his mouth. Make the gums without the teeth, this part is kind of difficult because its hard to proportion the gums right. Along with the sketching of the mouth we can add some detail to the eyes, make the iris/pupil along with some reflection.
STEP 4.
In this step we add the scales. This part could be quite devious and time consuming. You can make random scales but make sure they go together well, not just a big one here and a small one there.
STEP 5.
Now we start shading. The ears are slightly darker than the face. Make sure you can get the extra detail when it comes to the eye, so you can get the depth between the eye and his head. Also with eye itself there is some color. Just follow the picture and see what you can do!Post a comment
