Start by drawing an egg shape like so.

2

You will then use the shape you just draw to sketch out the lobster's head. Draw in the eye as well as the whiskers also known as the antenna or feelers.

3

You will now draw out the front arms and claws like so, and like always make sure the claws are a whole lot bigger than the rest of the arm.

4

Let's finish off this lobster shall we? Draw out the long dome shaped body then give this lobster some legs and a tail. Clean up the guides and mistakes.

5

Here you have a finished drawing of a lobster that is ready to color in. Remember, uncooked lobsters are a dark mahogany, and cooked lobsters turn red.

Description: Here is a cute little critter that lives in the ocean. I wanted to make a shellfish species that I am absolutley craving for as a meal. Summer is almost here which means I will be longing for seafood of all different kinds. Some of my favorite seafood is crabs (either rock or sand), lobster, clams, steamers, quahogs, scallops, shrimp, octopus, squid, and much, much more. I guess you could say that one of the parts of my heritage gets the best of me when it comes to loving seafood. Here is a lesson for all you seafood lovers too. How about learning the task of drawing a lobster for kids. I'm putting this lobster in the 'for kids' section because it is a very simple tutorial that anyone can tackle. I hope you have fun with it, and maybe after you draw it out you won't have the urge to go out and buy one...than again maybe not. Have fun folks and enjoy your drawing day!
