1

Let us begin with two shapes, one for the head and the other for the body. Connect the two with a torso guide line.

2

You will now draw out the side profile of the meerkat's head as well as the long ear which is in a downward pose. The tip of the nose should be pointed like you see here as well as narrow or slim.

3

Draw and color in a large almond shaped eye, as well as draw in the nose, whiskers, and then the marking line on the ear.

4

Next, draw the lining for the back as well as the thick pointed tail. Draw the shape of the thigh and then move along to step five.

5

Finish your meerkat by drawing the shape of the neck as well as the short stubby shaped arms. When that is done you can draw the marking patches on the back as well as on the tip of the tail. Clean up the drawing freeing it from mistakes.

6

Here is what your meerkat looks like when you are finished. Now all you have to do is color it in.

Description: The last two tutorials that I have for you guys today is going to be based on some pretty cool animals. The first is going to be on an animal that has gained fame from one movie that Disney came out with. His name in the film was Timon, and he was probably the funniest animal in the film. Here is "how to draw a meerkat for kids", step by step. The meerkat is one cute little critter. They live in burrows and live among a mob or gang which ranges between five to thirty meerkats. Anyways, this should be a fun lesson to follow because the meerkat that you will draw is cute, and simple to replicate. I still have one last lesson coming your way so stay tuned in to see what it is.
