How to Draw a Bloody Skull
Hello all and welcome back to another fun filled drawing tutorial here at DragoArt.com. Today I figured that I would do a drawing lesson on a risky looking skull that may be too graphic for some kids that come here. This first drawing lesson of the day will be on how to draw a bloody skull step by step. Now this is probably one of the coolest looking skulls I have ever drawn because of all the blood number one, and how the dagger is pierced through the side of the head with the rotting flesh on the right hand side. I mean this sketch is epic and I apologize in advance for those of you that are going to get grossed out over the whole blood and rotting flesh idea. But for those of you that absolutely love this skull with all the blood, daggers and decaying skin, then this tutorial is dedicated to you all. Like always whenever I do a detailed concept for a drawing I always have to sketch it out on paper first. Once the rough sketch was drawn out for the skull, I then scanned it into my comp and began working on it with the line art and then I spent a whole two hours just coloring it in as well as detailing the bloody skull also. In total the whole drawing took me five hours and I think tomorrow I am going to submit a tutorial on how to draw a bleeding heart, which would be cool right? Anyways I know a majority will love this sweet looking skull tutorial. Once you have learned how to draw a bloody skull step by step, you will see how easy it is to draw any kind of skull. I put this lesson under tattoos because once again it is too cool enough to be placed anywhere else. I will be back in a bit with more drawing fun so stay tuned.

STEP 1.
Are you ready to start this cool lesson or what? Okay then lets get started. First draw out a circle for the shape of the skulls head and then draw out the lining for the jaw and leave an empty space for the mouth opening. Once that is done you can then add the facial guidelines and then the long slanted line for the dagger.
STEP 2.
Now using the facial guidelines that you drew in step one, you will draw out the shapes for the eyes, nose and mouth. Next sketch out the shape of the jaw lines and then add the notches for the sockets where the teeth will go. Once you have completed this you can then move to step three.
STEP 3.
In this next step you will start sketching in the detail and definition on the skulls face. Start by adding some thickness and detail to the dagger as shown. Once that is done you will sketch out the brow bone lines and give him a cheek bone on both sides as well as the shape of his eyeball. You will then draw out the shape of the ear on the right side and then draw out all of the skulls teeth. Add the definition lines above the teeth to express his boniness.
STEP 4.
In this nest step you will finish off the shape of the dagger by drawing out the handle and then the hand guard. Once that is done you can add the cloth that is wrapped around the handle and then detail the blade as seen here. color inside of the skull as seen here and then add some defining details like the blood shot veins in the eyeball and then color in the pupil. Once that is done you can sketch more of the peeling rotting skin and then detail the exposed skull. Once that is complete you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 5.
When you r sketch is done you should end up with something like this. All you have to do now is color in your work of art and now you are complete.
