How to Draw an Anime Lion
Welcome back everyone to DragoArt.com and to another drawing lesson that I worked hard on. Since the anime fox has become such a big hit, I decided to do a tutorial on another anime animal. So for my first drawing lesson of the day I will be teaching you how to draw an anime lion step by step. Now I didn’t want to draw any old anime lion, I want my lion to look aggressive, mean and no nonsense. I figure if you are gonna do a drawing on an anime lion or a cartoon lion; it might as well be awesome looking right? Today’s tutorials are all requests except for this tutorial. I am going to submit one anime animal a day for a few weeks so if any of you have any request for a particular animal, all you have to do is leave a comment on this tutorial and I will be more than happy to show you how to draw an anime animal of your choice. With this lesson you will learn how to draw a really cool looking anime lion step by step. The instructions are easy to read and the steps are simple to follow. I was going to leave this lion plain with no blood but then I thought, wait what fun is a mean looking lion with no awesome visual detail. So I broke down and added the blood, I just had too! Well I hope you will enjoy this lesson I worked hard on it so that you all will find this lesson easy to tackle. I will be back soon with more for you all so stay tuned, there is more on the way.

STEP 1.
This may seem like a complex tutorial but really it isn't. The first thing you will do is draw two circles, the first being the big one. Next draw a smaller circle in the middle and than add the facial guidelines. Using the facial guidelines you will start drawing out the lining for the eyes, and roaring mouth. The last thing to do is draw out the guide shapes for the legs front and back and then the rough line for the mountain he is standing on.
STEP 2.
In this next step all you will have to do is start sketching out the spiky looking mane around his head. Next draw out the shapes of the ears and then the anime animal eyes. You will then start drawing out the shape of the crinkled nose and parts of the fangs. Once that is done you will need to draw a long curled line for the tail and add the hair on the tip of the lions tail. Lastly, add some toes on the massive paws.
STEP 3.
Guess what you have done? Made it to step three and as you know step three brings you half way to the end. In this step you will start sketching out the shape of the actual face and the shape of the bride of his snout. Next add the crinkle lines between the eyes and then finish drawing out the fangs. You will than start sketching some of his chest hair in and then shape out the legs and tail as seen here.
STEP 4.
Detail the inside of his ears by drawing the separation lines. Crinkle up the nose by adding some crinkle lines and the draw every tooth on the anime lions mouth. Add more chest hair and then detail the legs by adding muscle definition. You will than draw more of the toes on the front left paw and thicken the tail as well.
STEP 5.
In this last and final step you will start drawing out the details inside the ears and the eye design around the anime lion eyes. You will then thicken the gum lining around the mouth and then detail the lion tongue. give this anime beast some claws and then detail the tail hair. The last thing to do is add the cracks in the mountain that he is standing so brave on.
STEP 6.
In the end this is what your lion should look like. All you have to do now is color him in and your all set. You have just learned how to draw an anime lion step by step.Comments: Post Comment
Won't this be a challange? Hmmm......but I'm up to it. 
yeah, crayons are diffrent from pastel. you can't mix crayon colours, but with pastel you can make the colours smoothier, and mix them and thats really fun! .gif "smile")
