How to Draw Call of Duty Black Ops
So I heard you like Call of Duty ? As most of you probably know, COD is one of the most if not THE most popular first person shooter series today . Everybody's playing it , no matter the age, sex, occupation, etc. I played it myself and all I can say is that I was left with a very good impression . Today I made this tutorial on the cover of Call of Duty Black Ops , I hope you will have fun drawing it, good luck !

STEP 1.
Simple sketch, just to figure out the shape of the whole thing. Use a soft pencil , and don't press hard, it will scratch your paper and you don't want that .
STEP 2.
Add some details . Use a ruler for the guns , I'm not great with doing straight lines on my tablet . I know there are a lot of details all at once , but it's easy to draw them once you have the basic shape .
STEP 3.
Erase the lines from the fist step, except for the legs.
STEP 4.
Use a pencil that blacker than the blackest black . And for the gun part use a really sharp one . I use graphite , which creates a mirror like surface , so it reflects light . From the right angle, it's really black, but the light from the scanner was reflected a bit .
STEP 5.
Drawing the arm is simple, tone first, then add the details . Use pencils ranging from 8B to HB.
STEP 6.
Shading the guns will require a circular motion , which will give the impression of metal . Use a 4B and a 7B, both very sharp . On one of the guns you can see the name "Sally" written , simply sketch the name with a sharp HB and shade around it with the 4B (press hard). You will need to sharpen your pencils 3 or 4 times while drawing one gun, so that's a minimum of 6 times for both .
STEP 7.
Another gun, another hand, same story . Just tone, shade, add details, shade again .
STEP 8.
Ok, the background is REALLY easy to make, if you do the following : take a ball of cotton , a blade and a qtip. Use the blade to sharpen the tip of your pencil, in order to make graphite powder ( you'll need a lot of it) .Put the powder on the paper, and using the cotton ball rub it on the paper. You'll get a very smooth surface, and it's less time consuming. Use the qtip just like the cotton ball but near the dude's arms , near the white areas. Use more powder in the darker areas . Use a normal eraser to make random lines of random thickness , to make the smoke effect , but be careful, don't press too hard .Comments: Post Comment
