How to Draw Kawaii People
Here is what I call adorable. I am always looking to create new drawings in the latest styles, and that is why I want you guys to enjoy this tutorial on "how to draw kawaii people" in a step by step fashion. As I said before, whenever you make kawaii characters, you are basically using the same techniques as you would when you make chibis. Japanese kawaii style is much smaller, cuter, and the faces have more of an innocent look to them. The best part of the faces that you draw with your kawaii characters, is how universal the concept may be. For instance, you can totally get away with using a kawaii face that you made on one of your human like figures, and place that very same face on a kawaii food drawing. You can see from the tutorial that the complexity level is not going to be that challenging, although I do think that some brand new novice artists will come across some bumps in the road. Regardless of how you tackle this lesson, you will definitely have an awesome time. I have to bounce out of here because there is more in store coming your way. Peace out people and enjoy!

STEP 1.
Here is a good example of the different styles between making kawaii people. As you can see the kawaii boy has much smaller limbs, and spots for eyes. The girl on the other hand has bigger limbs and large shaped eyes.
STEP 2.
This is just a recap on the different faces that you can add to any of your kawaii drawn people. No matter which one you choose they are all adorable.
STEP 3.
Let us get started. Make a circle for the head and then sketch in the facial guidelines.
STEP 4.
Here you will start the process of drawing the top portion of your kawaii girl's head. This is going to take the shape as puffy bangs. The ends of the bangs should be thick, and pointed.
STEP 5.
Next, draw in the boxy shape of the face structure like so, and then add the eyebrows.
STEP 6.
Okay guys as you can see your kawaii person is coming along nicely. I chose to go with big style eyes, but you can choose to go with large excited eyes. Make the cat style lips and then draw in the mouth.
STEP 7.
Up next we will be taking this figure to the next level by drawing the torso and or body. This consists of straight lines, as well as rounded limbs. Draw the dress line as well as the ruffled loose part of her dress.
STEP 8.
Draw another arm and leg like so, and then sketch in the dimpling on the bottoms of her foot which is only visible because she is lifting up her leg, and at the base of her hand. Add a collar ring for her dress too.
STEP 9.
And finally for the last drawing step you will draw in the rest of the kawaii hair. Make the length as long as you like, and make the style as you like. If you prefer your character to have short wavy hair, go ahead and make it so. Clean up any mistakes if you made any, as well as the guidelines and shapes you created along the way.
STEP 10.
