Well yesterday I submitted a few tutorials that were odd and cool at the same time. My favorite was the Imp because I think he came out wicked cool. In this next tutorial, I will be showing you how to draw a Tiki mask step by step. The reason why I chose to do this face mask design is because my cousin recently gave my uncle a tattoo of a Tiki mask on his back in the middle up near the back of his neck. He got the tattoo because he is going to be spending the next three years in Hawaii and he thought that if he got a native marking on his body, the Hawaiian people would accept him more. I think that is so stupid because first of all I think that Hawaiians are friendly people. For those of you that have no idea what a Tiki mask is and what it is used for I will fill you in on some brief information. First off the word Tiki is a name given to large carvings of humanoid shaped faces made from wood from Polynesian cultures of the Pacific Ocean. The large wood carvings are made to mark sacred sites that are spread out on islands and villages of the Polynesian people. This sketch was drawn with a lot of effort and I hope you will all like learning how to draw a Tiki mask step by step. Over time there have been several manufactures that sell items like Tiki mugs and the ever popular Tiki lights that are used in the summer to ward off mosquitoes. Anyway I think you will enjoy this lesson on how to draw a Tiki face step by step. I will be back soon with more drawing fun in a while so stay tuned folks.
