How to Draw The Creation, Creation of Adam

It's been a few hours since I submitted my first tutorial, so after doing my Live stream and getting something to eat, I'm ready to start once again with more drawing fun. I will take a turn on the artsy side with this next submission. The idea to do this drawing came to me after I was browsing through the 'art' section under the 'Pop Culture' category. I found that I only did two lessons on replications of actual artists work called Starry Night, and Mona Lisa. Today I will be giving you something from Michelangelo. Here is "how to draw The Creation", step by step. Some know of this drawing as being 'The Creation of Adam', and it is one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have ever seen. The Creation of Adam is part of the Sistine Chapel ceiling painting which was pained in 1511. It is a depiction of the story of Adam and how God gave life into the first man to walk the earth which is the creation of man in God's image. If it confuses you a bit as to who is who, I think it's pretty obvious that God is the mane with the white beard and white cloak that covers his body. Adam is the fella in the purest of forms, naked with no coverings at all. God is seen reaching out to Adam to give him the breathe of life. There is so many symbolizes in the painting that leads people to question if in fact the hypothesis' are right. For instance, the red cloth that surrounds God is said to be in the form of a woman’s uterus, and because of this it is called the 'uterine mantle'. The green loose looking cloth that is swaying beneath God is also thought to be an umbilical cord that has been cut which means Adam has been set free, or born. Anyways, I tried replicating Michelangelo's piece of art, and I think I did an okay job. I hope you enjoy drawing The Creation as much as I did making it. I will meet you guys back here in a bit so stay tuned in to see what else I submit.

I'd love to go to that Sistine Chapel and see the ceiling. I know that might sound stupid to some who don't know what's on the ceiling, but I'd love to see that ceiling! That's what I should do if I get a big fancy mansion...cover it in drawings!!!! yay plotting paranoid boogie rock
