When we tackle this lesson we will be drawing whole parts of waterfall and it's surroundings. Start at the top and begin sketching out the shape for the top of the waterfall. Next, draw the lining that flows down the rocks which forms the actual wate

2

Starting on the right hand side, begin drawing the foliage like the large leaves at the base of the waterfall, and then draw the tree trunk which is hidden or cut off in the drawing. The hollow area is the rocks which the water is falling or rolling

3

Draw more rocks which are layered. The can easily be drawn because it's almost like making clouds. Draw in some more large leaves as well as detail for them.

4

For the last drawing step you will add some more foliage or leaves which are peeking through near the bottom of the waterfall. Sketch in some rock definition as well, and then begin the process of line clean up.

5

Here is what the drawing looks like when you are all done. Now you can enjoy coloring in your drawing to perfection. I do hope you liked this lesson on drawing a waterfall for kids.

Description: I have another fun, simple lesson for you all that will really come in handy for those that have trouble with creating landscapes of beauty. After seeing how popular the tutorial on drawing mountains for kids was, I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to make a lesson on "how to draw a waterfall for kids", step by step. Waterfalls can be tricky and because of this a simple drawing of a waterfall broken down into steps could prove to be helpful for all the novice artists out there that have trouble with drawing nature like landscapes. I really wanted to make the waterfall inviting so that artists wouldn’t shy away from it. I know how important it is to improve with landscape drawings and hopefully this one on drawing a waterfall for kids helps in that area. Okay guys I have to get moving because I need to prepare for live. Have fun with this submission and make sure to stick around because the fun never ends here on Dragoart.com
