1

Start with a circle for the head guide and then sketch in the facial guidelines as well as the body line.

2

Next, begin the drawing process for the King's crown, and this time it is going to only have three prongs instead of four or five. Cap each tip with a circle shape, and then move to step three.

3

Using the head guide that you drew in step one, begin drawing out the curly or wavy style hair starting with the sides of the head as well as the bangs and mustache.

4

Thicken the lining for the chin, and then draw or color in oval shapes for the King's eyes. Make a nose and then draw three jewels on the face of the crown.

5

You will now draw in the fluffy style collar for the King's cape, and then draw the sides of it as well which rests on the shoulders and arms. Cap off the bottom of the cloak or cape with some more fluffy edging.

6

For the last drawing step all you need to do is draw the rest of the King's body which is the legs, feet and belt. Notice the belt has a wavy pattern to it. Clean up the drawing freeing it from mistakes you made along the way.

7

Here is what the line art looks like when you are all done. Color in your King and add him with his queen.

Description: Like with the queen, here is a lesson that will teach you "how to draw a king for kids", step by step. There is many ways you can draw a king, but when you are a novice artist, the possibilities are sort of limited. This is because the complexity to drawing a king can be very hard or frustrating. The clothing of a King can be a bit challenging especially of you are making the type that has high royalty clothing with lots of jewels and accessories. I really wanted to make my king very simple to follow because I know how important it is to draw a king and queen as a pair. I do think that you will enjoy drawing a king for kids, because he is as cute as can be for an older man. That's it, that is all I have to say for this tutorial description. Meet me back here tomorrow because I have some surprises that I think a majority of you folks will love. Peace out people and enjoy!
