They asked if I could make a tutorial on "how to draw chibi Maximum Ride", step by step. This tutorial was so fun to do because I got to play with ideas to create something epic in a chibi form. I know that there is so many Maximum Ride fans that come to this site, and that’s why I wanted to fulfill this request because I knew more than one person would enjoy this lesson. The concept is pretty simple and there is essentially no wrong way to create your own version of this character. I tried to make sure that it was laid out in an easy to follow lesson because there is also going to be novice artists tackling this tutorial. There really isn’t much more I can say when it comes to drawing chibi Maximum Ride. All I can do is provide steps and instructions for you to follow so you can develop your own chibi version. STEP 1.
Start off with a large circle for the head and then sketch in a face guide like you see here. Next, draw an arm and body guideline, followed by the pelvic shape.
STEP 2.
Thicken the lining you just drew at the bottom of the jaw, and then start drawing the shapes of the eyes starting with the top and bottom lids.
STEP 3.
Next, draw the first strands of the hair which are in chunks and are spear like. You will also need to add some hairlines under the arches of the bangs for added detailing. Next, draw the eyeball shapes, and then add some eyebrows, and a nose. Don't forget the scuffs on the side of the face.
STEP 4.
The face is done. We will start tackling the body next which is started from the arms, and then you will work your way down the torso to create the upper part of the body. Draw the hips and legs and then move to step five.
STEP 5.
You will continue with drawing the hair until it's complete. The ends of the hair should be straight and there should be a few notches in them.
STEP 6.
Look at the cute small wings that you will be drawing as of right now. Draw the feathery wings and make sure that the ends of the wings are well rounded.
STEP 7.
Draw clothing for chibi Max, and then add the details like the vertical lines, belt, and shoe lines. Also detail the palm of the hands too. Clean up your drawing so you have something nice to color in.
STEP 8.
Here is what your drawing looks like when you are all done. Color in your character and then you can try out something new.Post a comment
