I’m sure that you guys know there is a movie coming out called 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' which is due to be released some time in December of this year. It’s about a journey that Bilbo Baggins makes to Lonely Mountain in search for a treasure that was stolen from them by a Smaug which is a species of dragon. I don’t know the rest of the details because I didn’t want to spoil it for myself since I do want to see this film in the theater. Now because I know I never drew one before, and because Hobbit is going to be coming out soon, I thought a tutorial on "how to draw a hobbit", step by step would be appreciated by members and visitors that come to Dragoart. The hobbit I decided to draw has all the traits you would expect a hobbit to have. For instance, he is small, stubby, wears no shoes, has big feet, wears a cape and walks around with a cane or walking stick. At first I wasn’t going to add the cape, but I knew something was missing when he was just standing there without the typical cape. Anyways I really like the way that this drawing came out, and if you have always wanted to draw a hobbit in a simple manner, now is your chance to do so. I hope you enjoy this lesson, make sure that you stick around to see what else I have in store for ya’ll.
