I have been on this kick with finding new animal species ranging from monkeys, to insects, or even aquatic life. Today I will be giving you a lesson on a new insect breed that is very interesting looking and even pretty. Up next, we will tackle the task of learning "how to draw a conehead katydid", step by step. Now even though many of the katydid species are similar, the differences vary from habitat to existence. They are related to crickets and if you were to listen to a sound bite on your computer, you would actually think that you were listening to a cricket. The design concept of this species is incredible because they are such interesting looking bugs. There are six different types of katydid that I have read on and they are the robust conehead, the rounded tipped conehead, musical conehead, false robust conehead, sword bearing conehead, and the Nebraska conehead. All of them are green in color, but since the one you will be drawing is a new species find, as of right now I don’t know what the official name is. The lesson should be easy to follow, and since it is such a colorful and entertaining bug I feel you will have an awesome time tackling this tutorial. As you get busy with this katydid insect, I will work on some more drawing fun.
