There is only three drawing step involved with this lesson. You will start by drawing out a circle that is a bot oblong is shape. It should also be drawn in a tilted manner.

2

To turn this shape into a ring, all you have to do is make two separate lines in two different places. Start by drawing a line from the upper center part of your shape, and then draw a crescent shaped line that should meet up almost exactly on the bo

Now you can start drawing the inscription on the inside and outside parts of the ring like so. If you want the actual lettering for the inscription, reference a ring and start from there. Otherwise, you can draw the letters like I did here. Don't wor

Here is the finished ring when you are all done. Now you can spend some quality time coloring in your ring to perfection, or close to it. Great work people!

Description: If you’re looking at this tutorial you should know where the ring is from. I was watching Lord of the Rings with my eight year old sister yesterday and she asked me if I ever made a tutorial of the ring that Frodo wears. Of course I said no because I never thought to make a tutorial on "how to draw Lord of the Rings" ring, because in all honesty, I never really paid too much mind that there are actually people out there that would want to draw the ring that Frodo carries throughout the whole three tales. I did however do a tutorial on Gollum which is one of my favorite characters even though he can get annoying sometimes with the whole ‘precious’ thing. Anyways, as I recall LOTR was first a fantasy novel written by an English professor named J. R. R. Tolkien. It is the sequel to his other works ‘The Hobbit’, but the LOTR series is a much more detailed, drawn out tale of middle earth and the reign for power, as well as good fighting evil. Now, I just want you all to understand that the story of LOTR always confused me a bit as to how many rings where actually made. To ‘MY’ understanding, there was a total of twenty rings; three for the elves, seven for the dwarves, nine for mankind, and the one and only ring that controlled them all, Sauron’s ring, if I’m wrong in any way or form, please let me know, otherwise if I’m right, good for me. The inscription on the ring that I drew is not the actual language that belongs there. To tell you the truth, I tried to draw the writings, but it came out looking like scribble. I know that the writings on the One ring reads; One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. If you want to draw the actual language on the ring, I warn you that it is a very tedious task. I wanted to keep the tutorial simple enough for everyone to enjoy, so as you tackle this lesson on drawing Lord of the Rings, remember to watch the movie when you are all done. I have to go because there is more for me to do. Peace out and have an awesome drawing day!
