How to Draw Gir from Invader Zim
Last week I showed you all how to draw Zim and now today I will show you an easy way you can teach yourself "how to draw GIR" from Invader Zim. I thought about doing him as a tutorial before, but I didn’t know if anyone would want him. Well, that all changed when one of my buddies put in a request for GIR and then I was like, sweet. Now for those of you that watch the show you already know that "GIR" is a robot that needs some work at times. The Irken’s give these units to invaders to assist them with their missions to take over other planets, like Zim is trying to do with Earth. GIR is supposed to aid Zim in his conquest to take over Earth but that hardly ever happens. For a robot he displays a manic type of personality and he is never consistently in his “useful operation frequency”. In fact this is an on going problem for Zim because there are times when he truly does need the aid from his multipurpose robot. GIR’s name is some what unclear of what it stands for, but ultimately he is a version of the Irken S.I.R which is a Standard-issue Information Retrieval unit. GIR is often dressed in a green colored dog suit, (to disguise his true identity), that has an oversized prominent zipper in the front which ends up looking obvious and a big red tab that looks like the tongue of a dog. I think GIR is a cute but odd robot that sometimes does more harm than good when his help is needed by Zim. In this drawing lesson I will show you "how to draw GIR" from Invader Zim step by step. The end result is a cute version of this animated character that use to air on Nickelodeon. I hope you like this tutorial I will be back with more in a bit so stay tuned.

STEP 1.
Are you ready to have some fun or what? Sweet. You will start this first step by drawing out the shape of GIR's body frame. Start by drawing a rounded boxy shape for his head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw the small shape of his torso and then add two lines on the head for the ears.
STEP 2.
In this next step you will thicken the shapes of the dog like ears and then add the triangle shape of a small doggie nose. Draw the flap for his tongue and then two curved lines for his arms. On the torso you will draw the outline of the zipper and then draw the zipper lip as shown to you here.
STEP 3.
Guess what? You have made it to your last drawing step and now you will add the final additions to GIR's face and body. Draw two large circles for his eyes and then two dots for the pupils. Draw the shapes of his arms and hands and then detail the tongue. You will detail the zipper and then add the shapes of his legs.
STEP 4.
This is what your finished drawing of GIR should look like. All you have to do is color him in and that's it. Of course you will want to erase all the guidelines and shapes first before you add the color. Well you have just learned how to draw GIR from Invader Zim step by step.Comments: Post Comment
