How to Draw a Christmas Dragon, Christmas Dragon

The first step is to draw some basic guides and shapes for the frame work of your dragon that you are about to draw. Start with a circle for the head, draw a neck like and then attach that neck to another shape which is for the body. Add the wing gui

Next, you will sketch out the snout for the dragon and when you do this make sure to incorporate the nostril arches, and then draw the eyes and bridge across the nose. Draw in an eye, and then move along people.

The next step that you will need to do is draw out the lower jaw, and jawline like so. Be sure to draw the chin and the small spikes on the chin as well as the teeth that are gripping to the candy cane that you will also need to draw in. Make the fri

Now is the time to start drawing out the body of this Christmas dragon. Start with making the thick neck, then draw the scarf which is in layers, and then draw the mistletoe toe that is hanging from the scarf. Before leaving this step, sketch in some

This is a very simple step because all you have to do is draw out the Santa hat like so, and be sure that you make it big enough to fig on the dragons head comfortably.

Next, begin sketching out the incredibly large front legs and feet like you see here. Notice how I exaggerated the size of the front talons or fest. There should be some muscular definition on the legs like so, and be sure that the legs end up coming

You are almost done guys so keep the momentum going. Here you will begin sketching out the hind legs and feet, and then draw the dragon's tail. Add some detailing and then draw in the nails or claws.

There is only a few more steps left so try and hang in there. You will begin sketching out the left wing starting with the wing's arm. When this part of the wing is drawn, you need to also sketch out the tissue or membrane that creates the actual sha

You will now draw the right wing the same exact way you drew the left wing. Add some muscle detailing or definition like so, and then a thumb claw.

And finally for the last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the lining that actually forms the wings. The lining should be crocked or uneven for added effects. Add some vertical lines for the texture detailing of the wings and then begin cle

Here is what your dragon should come out looking like when you have finished things up. Now you can have balls of fun coloring in this dragon to your liking and in a festive way.

Description: I was going to submit this dragon lesson about four days ago but I go so side tracked with creating some other fun stuff that I thought you guys would enjoy. So, let me take this drawing lesson off the back burner and submit it now so you too can learn "how to draw a Christmas dragon", step by step. I really didn’t anticipate the dragon coming out so awesome. I had a lot of fun making this concept of a dragon dressed in Christmas gear and I don’t think I have every drawn such a dragon like this before. I think you guys will have fun with this lesson because as of tomorrow, Christmas is exactly one week away from being a reality. I personally can’t wait for Christmas because I love spending all waking morning, and night on spending time with my family as I’m sure all you out there love doing too. Anyways, I’m not going to ramble on about nothing so I will shut up, and just get busy with showing you the secrets to drawing a Christmas Dragon. Have fun guys, and remember to use your drawing on a homemade Christmas card, or even as a picture for the fridge. Peace out people and merry Christmas.
