How to Draw the Lakers, the Lakers Logo
So far today I have uploaded a tutorial based on religion, music, and a species from the animal kingdom. Up next I will be fulfilling the need for a sports related tutorial based on a logo from the NBA. A member suggested that I make a lesson that can show you "how to draw the Lakers logo", step by step. The Los Angeles Lakers was founded back in 1947after Morris Chalfen and Ben Berger bought a team that was no longer in operation. The team was called the Detroit Gems, and the new name “Lakers” was chosen based on the confirmed nickname of Minnesota which is ‘Land of 10,000 Lakes’, from that ‘the Lakers’ was born. Some famous players that have had the pleasure to play for the Lakers are Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and Elgin Baylor. The team colors are purple, gold, and white. When the Lakers play at home their jerseys and shorts are all gold with purple and white trim, and when they play away from home, the uniform colors is all purple with gold and white trim. The logo isn’t going to be that hard to replicate if you follow the steps the way I lay them out for you. I know you will do a great job so no worries there. STEP 1.
Start with a slanted L shaped line like so.
STEP 2.
Using the guideline you drew in step one, draw out the capital style L in a block like manner.
STEP 3.
Draw out the another outer lined layer around the L and then draw the outline of a basketball.
STEP 4.
For the last step all you have to do is draw in the grooved lines going across and vertically. Clean up the drawing like so and then prepare it for color.
STEP 5.
