How to Draw Zim from Invader Zim
I was supposed to submit this tutorial last night or yesterday but I totally forgot to do so. So before I forget again, let me give you a drawing lesson on "how to draw Zim". This American animated cartoon series aired on the Nickelodeon Network until I think 2006. The series revolves around an extraterrestrial character named Zim who belongs to the Irken clan. Now this clan is very specific because your whole social lifestyle is based on an individual’s height. Now since Zim is not tall enough to become part of the social network, he is what you call an outcast. Zim’s character is portrayed as being very naive, narcissistic, hyper, and out of control at times. Now since Zim lives amongst the humans and the humans are aware that they have an invader living on their planet, he has three disguises that he wears to “try” and hide his identity. His attitude toward human life and the planet Earth is simple, he wants to destroy the human race and conquer planet Earth, but neither plan ever falls through for Zim. Out of the three suits he wears my favorite is the one that is almost often used on the show which consist of contact lenses and a wig. Now when he wears this disguise he uses the excuse of his green skin being some sort of skin disease which I think is hilarious. He also wears contact lenses, a pink looking hat, a scruffy looking beard and a dingy shirt; this disguise is equally amusing as well. And lastly the other disguise, suit or costume he wears consist of nothing more than a “human suit” and the only thing that shows is his face as it pokes out from the hole that it has. There are a number of characters that are also a part of the series that Zim associates with and they are; Gir, Dib and Gaz. All three make a wonderful and vivid addition to the series. I like the show, I wish I could watch it a bit more often, but since I work a lot I really don’t have the time to do so. Anyways, in this tutorial you will learn how to draw Zim from Invader Zim step by step. I hope you like this lesson; I will be back later on with more drawing fun so stay tuned gang.

STEP 1.
Okay are you ready once again or what? Good. Start by drawing a big circle for Zim's head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then add the curled lines for his antennas and then draw the small vase shape for his body. Add the limb guidelines and then move onto the next step.
STEP 2.
See very easy right? Okay now you will start drawing out the actual shape of Zim's head and face as shown to you here. He has some what of a boxy looking face so keep that in mind when you are drawing out the shape of his head. Next add a dash of to the right side of his face for his mouth and then add the lining for his collar that he wears around his neck. Make a hook like line for his right arms and hand and then begin drawing out his legs and feet.
STEP 3.
Well you are most definitely almost done. You will tackle this step by drawing out the shapes of his big bug looking eyes as seen here. Then draw the round hump on his back and add the two circles. You will then draw out more of his left arm and hand and detail the neck as well.
STEP 4.
Well you have reached your last drawing step and I have to say you have done a great job. You will only need to draw the stripes on his shirt and then finish off sketching out the hands, legs and feet for Zim's body. After you are done you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 5.
