How to Draw a Christmas Cat, Christmas Cat

1

Let's start by sketching down the proper and helpful guidelines that will enable you to draw accurately. Start off with circular shapes, using something to trace around to make the circles accurately drawn. Draw these LIGHTLY.

2

Then, we will start to shape up the beginning shapes, like the face and the hat that encloses the top of it. This part of the step is very important and it depends how close to the guidelines you follow.

3

Next, we'll start sketching the facials, working our way from one side of the face to the other. Keep a ruler beneath each eye you draw to see if they are relevantly drawn. Do the same with the mouth, and take your time more than anything.

4

To complete the head, sketch the hat as well as the puffy ball at the end. Don't worry, there's not suppose to be too many details on the hat.

5

Then, sketch the scarf first before you draw the holy. Take your time, and try to keep close to the guidelines you've drawn.

6

To start drawing the torso area, we must start sketching the left leg and paws, keeping each paw finger relative in size and width. Repeat the process on the right leg.

7

Lastly, sketch the legs and the paws with the padding beneath. Here, I simplified the paws so they aren't too much trouble for you to draw.

8

With further improvement on your drawing, finishing details, sketch cleanup, you should end up with something like this. Go ahead and challenge yourself by shading him in with graphite or colored pencils/copic markers. I hope you've enjoyed this less

Description: Hey guys! Here's a tutorial that will complete the mini-series of Christmas pets. We'll be learning “how to draw a Christmas cat”, step by step. I had so much fun drawing this little guy, especially basing the colors similar to the Christmas dog. I know lots of families that will be dressing up their cat or dog for the holidays, hence the reason why I did these tutorials. Sketching this kitty varied in so many versions that it was hard to pick. I eventually landed with this and began face lifting the kitty into what you see know. I spent around an hour and a half sketching, inking, and coloring him into completion. So much fun resulted from this and as well as having a satisfying result. I hope y'all will enjoy this tutorial as much as I had creating it. Don't forget to get a drawing pencil set to start and maybe a few tissues for shading later on (if you have nothing to color with). Take care and rock on!
