Description: Okay how about I do a drawing lesson on another band logo? Great so than it is final, I will be showing you how to draw the Slayer Pentagram step by step. I don't know how many of you are familiar with Slayer but just in case you don't know who they are I will fill you in a bit. Slayer is a thrash band from America that formed in 1981 by band members Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman. Their most talked about album called “Reign in Blood” was labeled as being the heaviest album of all time and I totally agree. I mean if you have ever listened to Slayer's music you know what I am talking about. The guitar riffs and some of the drum solos are absolutely out of this world. Even though Slayer came out in the eighties, my parents have been rockers since they were kids. So naturally I was brought up in a house filled with Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and so on. I would definitely take all but one band out from that list because they are not considered thrash metal. The closest band that can go in the same category as Slayer is Pantera. Well anyways, Slayer really gained its fame and fortune in 1986 around the same time Guns N' Roses was gaining popularity. There was a lot of controversy with Slayers albums and song titles. They have been labeled as being devil worshippers and singing about taboo type stuff that wasn't politically correct. A few more songs that are great from this band is “South of Heaven”, “Angel of Death”, “Hell Awaits” and other wicked tunes. At one point Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin (now Def Jam Records) offered Slayer a recording contract after the big success of their release of “Hell Awaits” back in 1987. Over the years they have been sued, banned, criticized, hated, loved, admired and even despised. With all those blows coming from different angles, that never stopped them from making and performing the music they love. This drawing tutorial will show you how to draw the Slayer Pentagram step by step. I will be back with more awesome drawing lessons in a bit so stay tuned folks.
