My name is Felicia. I like to do artwork. I have always been interested in art, I would say, but up until recently, haven't really pursued it. Right now I am following the tutorials on how to draw anime characters (basically Chibis and Nekos) two of the artists on Dragoart who have helped me out alot through their tutorials are Dawn and LoveTheNekos. Without their tutorials, I wouldn't be here drawing anime!
I work on my art alot, and granted, it's not perfect. But drawing and coloring, working with clay, etc. are activities that are hands on and help me a lot when I am feeling stressed or sad. Writing also helps me.
I'm basically a pretty shy and quiet person. I don't talk a lot. I sit, and I think, and I observe the world around me. I am currently trying to find more outlets to expand my creativity, and learn all I can about the anime genres I am persuing in my art. I would like to one day be able to develop my own anime style, but I'm not at that point yet. I still hav
Tools of the trade
My brain :) , DragoArt tutorials,
Mechanical pencils, Art Gum erasers, Prismacolor Markers, Black Ink Archival Pens (for outlining artwork)
**I will be the first to admit that I know absolutely NOTHING when it comes to digital art. Impressive yes, would love to advance into digital/graphics designing, but I find the process extremely complicated. I'm sticking with the Anime tutorials right now, and will hopefully advance my skills in them, and someday maybe move onto digital art/graphics.
I would love to learn how to work with the PaintTool SAI. I have it, but I've yet to figure out how to work with it!
Drawing, writing, exploring nature, photography (need to get back into my nature photography), listening to music, spending time with my family, exploring tutorials on DragoArt, cooking, going for long rides in the car, (the list goes on and on)
I used to read all the time, now not so much....I did, however, enjoy reading the Novel titled Mistress Of The Art Of Death by Ariana Franklin. I like to read Nancy Drew books in my spare time, and hopefully will get access to some Anime/Manga reads soon to support my newest interest.
Lots of movies. I enjoy Indian and Asian movies the most. Slumdog Millionaire, The Spice Mistress, (I'm hopefully going to see Life of Pi soon), Memoirs of a Geisha, The Last Samurai....
I also enjoyed Pitch Perfect. Another favorite of mine would have to be Dr. Seuss's The Lorax. Of the Anime movies I have seen my favorites are Hal's Moving Castle, and Sprited Away. Too bad I can't catch them on Netflix.
I love listening to music, and enjoy an extended variety of anything from pop to hip hop to (some) country.
