now marsuvees your thinking like a man, a true person can not and will never be able to fully perceive himself in any accurate form and therefore will never be a good judge of anyone else as well as himself, but with many in agreement is where true perceptiveness come, dont directly ask but as an assignment find out without being direct in any form if someone thinks you as chivalrous, its not an easy task but observe facial responses and observe the way people act, if they are kind toward you then you arent working at it hard enough, no one likes a goodey two-shoes

Ha ha, alright you've got me thinking hard now. Truly, I believe in my own chivalry, but the unfortunate part of self judgment is that it is always biased so the real question is do others see me that way? I must now consider is there anyone I might have selfishly wronged without making amends that would taint my self perception? While I still believe I'm chivalrous, I realize now my initial definition was to vague because without clauses pertaining to faults then one must consider is a Fireman who hurts his wife chivalrous?

so by your statement and definition i take it you and i both do chivalrous deeds then?, i already know i do but the question in that sense was rhetorical so i ask you the question

I would define it as courageously serving or protecting others first even at one's own expense as this was the true object of knighthood
. Don Quixote though delusional consistently attempted to render services to a lady at much risk and misfortune to himself.

what is chivalry? although we all speak of it seldom do any of us actually have it, the definition is so blatant but no one seems to try following it and are still called chivalrous even though they did nothing chivalric, so to conclude this statement, how does he exemplify chivalry in its true essence?

Don Quixote is one of the most prominent figures in Spanish literature. He basically goes insane from reading but I like him because in his insanity he exemplifies chivalry.

Ah, I agree there few thing's I absolutely abhor to the extent of men who abuse women but child abusers slightly outrank them in my opinion. But yeah I prefer Don Quixote style chivalry in protagonists.
