I just turned 16, and I've always loved drawing. I've used the name Journie on pretty much everything ever since i joined this website some years back called VMK (virtual magic kingdom). it was like club penguin except free and actually fun. but unfotunately, disney closed it down a while back :(. I've kept the name ever since. I don't really have a favorite color :S :)My favorite manga artists are Kim Hyung-Tae (i so wish i could get one of the oxide art books) and Tatsuyuki Tanaka :D The kind of style I'm trying to use is, not quite manga, but a Korean style manhwa (its the kind Kim Hyung-Tae uses) it "disregards anatomical accuracy to give a feel to a character" meaning the pose the character is doing doesn't necessarily have to be possible, but it looks awesome when it's done right. I'm also writing a book, and I've started it on figment.com under the name Journie just in case somebody is curious :) I'm currently learning Japanese from the Latin teacher at my school (who incidentally knows Japanese as well) 今日は。hahaTools of the trade
I just got a bunch of sketching pencils so I'm starting to use those (leads 9B, 6B, 3B, HB, and 5H) . For colors, I use GIMP program. (free stuff is the best, after all)Favourite books

drawing, writing, reading, internet, playing video games :) (Magna Carta: Crimson Stigmata was AMAZING! Reith is awesome! wish i could play the first one in the series, phantom of avalanche, but it's ONLY in korean! and i heard the next one on Xbox 360 wasnt so great, Bully, NOT final fantasy X honestly the story was totally BORING except at the very beginning and at the very end. i ve taken a sudden liking to FF 7 though, even if im never going to be able to play it bc i dont have a PS1 but i just finished crisis core and its pretty awesome, trying to learn how to play piano and guitar (im wishing myself good luck on that hehe) i suck at basketball but i do it anyway :P thank god the season is overLast login
