So I thought I'd show you how I start my portraits! So I start off with printing the picture I want to sketch. Start off by sketching his head, don't worry if it's not that good as when you get to shading, it gets loads better.. Then simply, draw the shapes of his lips and his eyes, guiding you to draw afterwards.. As you can see here, I've drawn round his eyebrows, not yet adding the hair. His eyes are boring, not yet having the pupils, and his hair simply just the lines, guiding you to drawing the hair afterwards.. Now you can see the simularity between the two pictures.. That's how I start! I'll submit the finished results soon..
